PrideTime! International Film Festival of Diverse Cinema in the Canary Islands, is a film festival that aims to visualize diverse cinema as a social tool to generate a more inclusive society.
PrideTime! International Film Festival of Diverse Cinema in the Canary Islands, will be held in La Laguna, at the Espacio Cultural Agüere. The program will include creative feature documentaries, independent fiction feature films and short fiction and documentary films. The festival will feature round tables, activities, talks and lectures on gender, Lgtbiq+ cinema, and women as filmmakers.
For two days we will program diverse, inclusive, conscious and vindicative cinema in the two theaters that offer us the facilities.
This festival will not only program LGTBIQ+ cinema, diverse cinema is that cinema that deals with inclusive themes and that fights for non-exclusive equality, gender, cultural, ethnic and social, so issues such as immigration, disability or the elderly can be issues related to diversity.
This is the third edition of the Time! festivals, created by La Gaveta Producciones. The first edition was QuarenTime!, First Confined Film Festival of the Canary Islands. A success of international, national and local participation, which had repercussions in the media and works of the highest level. The second edition of WomenTime! Festival de Cine Femenino de Canarias, an online and semi-presential festival that counted with more than 2,000 reproductions of its participating short films, an on-site event that was broadcast via streaming, accompanied by a lecture by Dr. Hernando Gómez on women in film, a full house.
